The initiative came out of an inner need of the local community, it's origin was the situation after the floods of May and June of 2010.

Tourism plays a very important role in both the global, national and regional economy of the modern world. In many countries this sector of the economy brings substantial income and it also creates many jobs. People have long wanted to travel, to get to know other countries, regions and different cultures, traditions and customs. These are the most common targets of tourist travels and they also are an important factor in the development not only of the whole of human society, but also of the individual. The important role played by regional culture, traditional dishes which are dependent on the geographical region, religion, traditions and customs present in the area. One of the areas of cultural tourism is a culinary tourism. This project takes up this subject.

From January to December 2013 VIRIBUS UNITIS Regional Development Foundation implemented the Senior's Academy project.
